Multi-accoladed and internationally renowned, she brings over 35 years of hairdressing expertise to her students. Bernadette’s achievements have earned her global recognition, with over 200 publications and more than 10 cover features in the last three years. She has delivered education at prestigious industry events worldwide, including in Orlando, Florida; Long Beach, California; Taiwan; New Zealand; and across Australia. As a sought-after speaker and motivator, Bernadette has co-hosted stage performances for GHD Australia and New Zealand and has been a keynote speaker for renowned organisations such as Toni&Guy, Matrix, De Lorenzo, Hair Expo & Hair Festival Australia, Beauty Expo Australia, Premiere Orlando USA, Chromastic, CPR, Epic Hair Designs, and Hairjamm Australia. Her collections are a staple in premier hairdressing publications, gracing numerous coveted covers.
In addition to her international engagements, Bernadette has worked with some of Australia’s top salons, educators, and brands, including Sharon Blain, Stevie English, Epic Hair, Rock Paper Scissors, Jo Banks, Mary Alamine, and Jenni Tarrant. She has also presented at premier hairdressing and beauty expos throughout the country.
In Australia, Bernadette’s sessions are highly anticipated and often sold out. This year, she introduced “Shear Excellence,” a three-day haircutting camp that received glowing 5-star reviews.
She is an ambassador for Amazing Hair and will also be delivering national cutting education with Ozdare in 2024, representing Eleven Australia, Kevin Murphy, and K18 Australia. She is also set to return to O&M for cutting education.
Beswick Education Services offers customised training, keynotes, and business workshops tailored to the specific needs of each salon, brand, and individual. These bespoke modules can be adapted for various group sizes, skill levels, and experiences. Popular courses include ‘The Product Heroes,’ ‘Consultation Champion,’ ‘Become the Exceptional Hairdresser,’ and comprehensive precision cutting classes ranging from classic to creative styles, as well as advanced blow-drying techniques.
Bernadette continually pursues excellence, holding education certificates from Sassoon Academy and having been mentored by Mark Hayes to produce a photographic image in 2019. She received one-on-one cutting mentorship from both Mark Hayes and Traci Sakosits for two years. Her dedication to ongoing learning ensures she remains at the cutting edge of the industry, enabling her to inspire and elevate the next generation of hairdressing professionals.
